In 2024, Sprite set out to revitalize their iconic tagline, Obey Your Thirst. And they wanted to do it with the NBA’s brightest young superstar, Anthony Edwards.
The idea started with a simple truth: The more the world wants a piece of you, the more important it is to stay centered and Obey Your Thirst.
A sentiment that could not be more relevant to Antony Edwards as he navigates the off-court distractions of his new superstar life
To bring this idea to life, we paired Ant with a Minnesota Timberwolves icon of the past—Kevin Garnett—giving advice to the Minnesota legend of tomorrow.
And for the basketball fans that knows their movie references, we added more fuel to the cultural fire by nodding to one of basketball’s most iconic movie moments – Big Time Willy in Spike Lee’s He Got Game.
