A REVERSED CALL GIRL SERVICE

In 2020, the spotlight in Sweden turned to men who buys sex. But despite the big media attention, a crucial perspective remained absent – the voices of the exploited women themselves.

To bridge this gap we helped Talita, a non-profit committed to supporting women exit prostitution, to launch a reversed Call Girl service.

The phone number, disguised as a typical call girl service, lets callers choose from a list of names. Instead of being connected to a sex worker, each name leads to a recording of a woman sharing her real experiences of life in prostitution.

The “Call Girl” initiative exposes the trauma, coercion, and vulnerability that often define the path into prostitution.

Each call costs $1 per minute, with all proceeds directly funding Talita’s daily work.

Following in-depth interviews with six women of diverse nationalities, we distilled their lives into short, poignant narratives that unveil the often hidden realities behind prostitution and sex ads.

All stories come from women who have have participated in Talita's program and are now determined to share their voices.

The campaign attracted attention from all over the world and has given Talita's work a greater place in the public conversation.
